OK I got what you mean, I bought a çar Newa CD yesterday in a kurdish shop (amazing shop by the way, tons of music), and the music sucks...LIVE it was still great, but on the CD there is only european instruments and it really sounds weird

If you wanna try traditional Kurdish music you should try the artists that sing in Hewramî style, the ones from Eastern Kurdistan are also VERY traditional - like Kamkaran, and you should try Rojîn, Nilüfer Akbal and Alisan - he has done a sucking version of Shiwan Perwers song - Kecha Kurda...
