Turkish media update

PostAuthor: thearabchildren » Tue Jan 17, 2012 9:57 pm

So we have for days been treated to news about the passing of Rauf Denktaş. By both state and non-state news media. It is clear we are to mourn his passing. Why was he important? Because he was the leader of a nationalist movement of an ethnic minority that other ethnic groups were trying to prevent from exercising their nationalistic will. Violence was involved by various parties, and Denktaş's movement was accused of "terrorism".

In unrelated news: Kurds who view Öcalan as their leader will be portrayed as fanatical nationalists in the Turkish media.

Bugün (http://www.bugun.com.tr/bugunTv/) just aired a report about the Zionist state's "dirty" plans involving heroin and the PKK. Throughout the course of the report, Turkish aircraft were shown, including unmanned drones used for attacking PKK targets (and those who get caught by those same unmanned drones regardless of their association with the PKK). I am very curious why the Turkish media, while repeating the name of the Zionist state over and over again and talking about its ties with the PKK (which I don't doubt), never thought to mention where they got those drones. Was it... was it Sweden*?

Oh, that's right. It was the Zionist state.

*Sweden IS actually a big arms dealer. Look up statistics on who's dealing arms globally. A bunch of familiar names on the international scene (including of course the UN "Security" Council) deal huge numbers of weapons yearly.

Indeed, then they get pissed of why so many refugees comes to sweden, saying our cultural heritage is going away etc. Yes, sweden is very famous for it's the launcher, their Jets and so on. I have told many turks, that accuses PKK for being runned by Israel, USA that your own drones guns, your anti-missile system etc. All comes from Israel. And right now since, there were tensions between israel and tukey, turkey uses american drones. This is just propaganda, nothing else. PKK gets it's drugs money by deliver it from iran-turkey border to istanbul. Where later the kurdish maffia takes it and sends it to Europe, especially UK.

Not to mention that of course the Turkish government also engaged in that exact same drug trade, so when they criticise that, it is quite funny: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Susurluk_scandal

But yes, I am always bothered when I hear Turkish people complain about the Kurdish diaspora. I have my critiques of all diasporas, as a general phenomenon diasporas are a problematic construction, but as if Kurds in Turkey are so incredibly free to publicly state their grievances and have them fairly discussed and acted upon in Turkey that the only reason they would go to Europe is a desire to embarrass Turkey in front of "the West" (ימח שמו וזכרו).
