Since I am here for a long time, I keep myself busy with this handwork. They have opened workshops for us.
When my brother passed away, I wasn’t allowed to go to the cemetery. I wanted to see him.
Now, I am truly worried about my parents. They are worried about me, too.
They have been waiting for my release for many years. They have been suffering away from me.
I have a blind brother. My God bless him, too.
I have been here for nine years. Unlike before, now I pray.
Before, I used to fast one day and ignore the rest. Now I fast the entire month.
When I am released, I can open a shop to make beautiful things and offer them to my country and my beloved city.
When I was arrested, Erbil was small, and now it has gotten bigger. Sometimes I ask my friends about new places built in Erbil when I see them on TV.
Erbil has become like Europe. I would like to go back to the community. I would like to see my relatives. I would like to work like people out there to help my parents.
I cannot be released on bail.
There is one more name we have to write on here. I have to repaint the nails as soon as it gets dry.
This color is amazing, this is called pistachio color. It still needs work. It will become more beautiful if we mix it with yellow color. And when it gets dry, we will clean it with a brush.
