Welcome to Roj Bash Kurdistan brother..

Hoş geldin... Good to have more moderate Turks on this forum. I hope you will help Kurds and others on this forum see the "other side" of Turkey: the positive and constructive Turks who work for human rights and who support political solutions... :)

Please tell us more about yourself...

I'm Sohrab - a 23 year old Kurd based in Norway...

Hi,

I am sorry I did not see this topic that because I found myself in politics in deep. : )

First of all I would like to say "Hos Bulduk" to others for their warm welcome. We might support different political ideas but it would not and should not stop us from being friendly. As I give my message I would like to talk a little about myself as requested.

My name is Mustafa. I am from Bursa/Tukey however my family originaly from Tokat. (I have to say this that I am not Alevi. It is not because I dislike them or somethng it has been asked almost everytime that I say my family is originally from Tokat. : D I do not know how it is people busines but anyways.)

At the moment I am studying in London/UK to be a software engineer. I am working in a Super Market to support my studies financially.

Well thats all about me if there is not anything you wanna ask.

OH!! I forgot to add that I do like Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, Metal, and Cllasical Music.

My favorite bands are;

Motorhead (They rulezzz)
Iron Maiden
Metallica (Till St. Anger)
Pantera
Linkin Park
Ramstein
and so on..

Pleased to meet you Mustafa... I'd just like to let you know that: indeed discussions and differing oppinions etc. are all just part of any forum. And we are all friends in the end here at this forum...

I am one of the moderators at this forum - and it is my job to make everybody feel welcome and to keep the forum clean and tidy... When necessary, we do and will ban people who break our codes of conduct...

Did you apply for studies abroad through a university in Turkey?

Which College/University do you attend in London?

I've studied Middle East Studies for two years and I am currently doing courses in English Studies (American and British civilization and literature)... :)

I did not attend any college or university trough any Turkish uni. I left my education on medical science. I wanted to kick OSYM out of my life. I had (like everybody else) my fair share of b.... from them.

I study in Unoversity of Greenwich (BSc) Computing Science - Software Engineering program.

I like history and tried to study it to. But I got bored after a year. : ) I change my major 4 times and now I have end up here. I hope after I get my degree I will find a good job in Turkey and able spend more time on my hobbies.

@Baris

It is nice to see another Metal Fun here. Nice to meet you to. : )

I see... Yes, I can understand your frustration... But Turkey has insufficient numbers of Colleges and Universities too... Each year 2 million try to pass the OSS - but there are only spots for 750 000 students (per year)... :?

Middle East Studies is actually a mix of different subjects and courses, not just history... I did langauge (Arabic & Hebrew), religion, social-anthropology and archeology too... It was immensely interesting - but I changed my major because of few job possibilities afterwards... :)

I wish you the best of luck and success in your studies and future career...

Could you please go to "User Control Panel" and upload an avatar for your profile? :)

Thank you!
