Hello

I figured an introduction is appropriate so here it is. I am currently camping in the wilderness and using my phone so apology for any mis-types.

I am a westerner who wanted to show his respects to the Kurdish people and learn more about your culture. I applaud the recent advances made for the Kurdish people. I wholly support the Kurdish people in their fight for independence and i am sorry my country has not provided more support in the past. I am a veteran of multiple wars and had brief cooperation with Kurdish fighters and I for one see the brave fight within your people.

I hope to learn more about the Kurdish culture and language as I forsee close cooperation with my nation and the Kurdish nation (by God you will have a nation!!) in the future.

Many Patriotic groups I am part of are familiar with the Kurdish struggle and you are gaining more foreign supporters by the day. We see the heroic fight against extremism and please know we are trying to mobilize our people in support of yours. It should have happened long ago. A strong Kurdistan may have avoided much of this decades tragedy but it is never to late.

I would like to inquire about ethnic Kurdish music. Could someone provide me with references to the typical culture music of the Kurds.

Please have faith, a Kurdish nation is on the horizon

Hello and welcome to Roj Bash Kurdistan :ymhug:

Thank you for your encouraging words of support - this site welcomes both Kurds and their supporters equally - and all those who support an Independent Kurdistan (whether Kurdish or other) are the most welcome of all

Sadly - though the peshmerga are probably the bravest of all fighters - they have lacked the weaponry and technology to compete on equal footing against the Islamic State up until now - we are all extremely grateful for recent American support and things are definitely showing signs of improving

I am sure that you will learn a great deal about everything Kurdish from this forum - sadly this forum was recently off-line for several weeks and it will take time for it to become fully active again - we welcome your contributions and those of any of your friends who care to join us :D
