I hope you enjoy your stay... I've already read some of your posts - which make me believe you are either a diaspora Kurd - or a Kurd based in Turkey (not North Kurdistan)... Istanbul, perhaps?

The suppression of ethnic cultures and minority religious groups in attempting to forge a modern nation were not unique to Turkey but occurred in very similar ways in its European neighbours - Bruinessen.

Yep, I am studying economics. I am little by little trying to pick up some Kurdish. Hope to improve it some time later.

Ahaaa... :) Yes - the Greek-Turkish Forum... Where the Turks were throwing shit at me (especially) and Kurds (in general) 24/7...

You know what's really annoying with some of those Turks on that forum? They don't realize how LIBERAL and FAIR (not to mention politically correct) my ideas and oppinions were... I really was surprised at how racist and fascist some of them were...

There were only 2-3 good Turks on that forum... Thank God there are more good Turks on this forum!!! :)

Yep, I know that attitude very well.. Therefore I quited the forum. However, Kurdistani was handling them very well. He is a smart one. I hope these people will prevail among Kurds.

Yes... Well I got so many threats from them - that I eventually decided to take a break from the forum... One of them even reported me to the MIT, he said... :?
